Billy Banks first introduced his Tae Bo exercise regiment back in 1990, and 20 years later it is still considered one of the top workout routines, continuing to help millions get in shape every day. Tae Bo is a mix of martial arts kicks and boxing punches done with an aerobic tempo for ultimate calorie burning and muscle toning. Today not only is the Tae Bo basic workout still available, but Billy has added a wide variety of different workouts to his list of accomplishments.
Basic Tae Bo is made up of two DVD’s, the first being about 40 minutes long and consisting of instructions on how each movement is performs. The movements are slowed down to allow the user to follow along until they have the routine and movements mastered. The instructions are easy to understand and the movements become easier to perform with practice.
Once you have mastered the movements, you move to the second DVD for a 27-minute workout consisting of a five-minute warm-up, Tae Bo for eighteen minutes, and a cool-down period lasting four minutes. This routine will get your heart rate going and you will break quite a sweat, giving you a great workout and fast results.
